Pork-Pups

Hushpuppy with a hint of southern BBQ.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Extra Sweet Hushpuppy Mix
  • 8 oz. smoked pork, shredded
  • 4 Tbsp jalapeno, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp hot sauce 
  • 6 oz. water

        Directions

          • Step One

            Stir hushpuppy mix, water, and hot sauce together.
          • Step Two

            Fold in barbecue and jalapeno. Let sit for 20-30 minutes.
          • Step Three

            Shape batter in small balls, about 1 tablespoon each.
          • Step Four

            Deep fry at 350F for 1 ½ - 2 minutes.
