Tangy and spicy Deep-Fried Pickles get their heat from House-Autry Medium-Hot Seasoned Breading Mix.
- 1 1/2 cups House-Autry Medium-Hot Seasoned Breading Mix
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1 cup water
- 1 32-ounce jar whole dill pickles, drained
- Oil for frying
- 18 cups House-Autry Medium-Hot Seasoned Breading Mix (I would just say 5lb of breader since this is for the whole bag of mix)
- 24 large egg yolks
- 12 cup water
- 12 - 32-ounce jar whole dill pickles, drained
- Oil for Frying
Step OneIn a large mixing bowl, beat the egg yolks and water together.
Step TwoSlowly beat in the House-Autry Medium-Hot Seasoned Breading Mix to make a smooth batter.
(Adjust the amount of water to your liking - if you prefer a thinner, crispier batter, use more water)
Step ThreeTrim the ends off the pickles and slice to 1/4-inch rounds; dry well or use pre-cut pickle chips
Step FourHeat at least 2 inches of oil in a large saucepan or deep fryer until it reaches 365°F.
Step FiveDip pickle chips into batter; shake off excess.
Step SixLightly fry for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes, or until pickles are crispy on the outside and golden in color.
Step SevenDrain on paper towels and serve at once.
