Beer Battered Jalapeño Hushpuppies


  • 3 cups House-Autry Hushpuppy Mix
  • 12 ounces beer, type by preference
  • 1 cup cheese, shredded
  • ¼ cup jalapeños
  • Oil, for frying


  • Step One

    Mix dry Hush Puppy Mix in a bowl with beer.
  • Step Two

    Stir until well-combined.
  • Step Three

    Add jalapeños and cheese. Stir well.
  • Step Four

    Optionally, allow mix to rest in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • Step Five

    Fry by carefully scooping tablespoon size balls in hot oil at 350 F until golden.
  • Step Six

    Remove to drain on paper towels.
  • Step Seven
