This Tex-Mex take on chicken uses our Oven-Baked Chicken Seasoned Coating Mix for excellent texture. Use your favorite salsa flavor to make it unique.
- 1 package House-Autry Oven-Baked Chicken Seasoned Coating Mix
- 2 pounds boneless chicken breasts
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 cup shredded cheese
Preheat oven to 400°F. Mix chili powder with one packet of House-Autry Oven-Baked Chicken Seasoned Coating Mix. Pour into a resealable plastic bag. Moisten chicken with water. Shake moistened chicken, 1 to 2 pieces at a time, in bag to coat. Discard remaining mix. Place chicken on lightly greased or foil-lined baking sheet and bake bone-in chicken for 45 minutes or until cooked through, boneless chicken breasts for 20 minutes or until cooked through, and chicken nuggets for 13 minutes or until cooked through. Top with salsa and cheese.
