Breaded Creamy Bacon Rollups
Our Medium-Hot Seasoned Breading Mix is the perfect coating for these bites of deep-fried deliciousness.
- 1 cup House-Autry Medium-Hot Seasoned Breading Mix
- 6 tortillas
- 1 package cream cheese, softened slightly
- 1/2 cup precooked shredded chicken
- 1/2 cup crumbled bacon, divided
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp rosemary
- pinch of salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 egg
- 2 cups peanut oil
In a bowl, combine cream cheese, chicken, 1/4 cup bacon, spices and salt. Mix well. Spoon 1-inch round of cheese mixture into the middle of each tortilla, roll up and freeze at least 1 hour. Preheat oil in fryer to 350°F. Take out tortilla rolls and cut in half. Beat buttermilk and egg until well mixed. Dip each tortilla roll half in buttermilk/egg mixture then coat with House-Autry Medium-Hot Seasoned Breading Mix and remaining bacon crumbles and then deep fry until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly and serve.
