Ingredients
2 lbs. ground pork
House Autry Flavor Expressions BBQ Coating - 1 pouch
1/2 cup milk
Cheddar cheese slices
Buns
French Fried Onions (store bought)
Pickled Jalapenos
BBQ Sauce
Cole Slaw (optional)

Preparation

In a small bowl stir together the BBQ coating pouch and cup milk. Let it sit to thicken for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile start up the grill - gas or charcoal.

Also crisp up the French fried onions by placing on a foil lined baking sheet and baking at 400 for about 4 minutes. Set aside.

Combine the thickened coating/milk mixture with the pork.

Form burger patties: divide into 8 patties for pound burger, divide into 6 patties for ⅓ pound burgers.

Grill until they are cooked through and register 165 degrees internal temperature with an instant read thermometer.

Place the burgers over indirect heat, top with cheese slices and close the grill for 3-4 minutes to melt the cheese.
Assembly

Place a spoonful of coleslaw on the bottom bun, top with the BBQ pork burger

Add the jalapeños

Drizzle with BBQ sauce

Finish with crispy French fried onions.
Tips
When you form your patties, press your thumb in the middle making a large divot. This will help prevent your burgers from shrinking into little pucks.
