Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms

Sausage, onion, celery, sage and carrots give new meaning to traditional stuffed mushrooms.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup House-Autry Pork Seasoned Breading Mix
  • 1 pound button mushrooms
  • 1/2 pound ground sausage
  • 1/2 cup onion - diced
  • 1/4 cup celery - diced
  • 1/4 cup carrot - diced
  • 1/4 tsp dried sage

Directions

Preheat oven to 425°F. Remove stems from mushrooms and chop into small pieces. Combine mushroom stems, sausage, onion, celery and carrot; brown in a skillet. Remove from heat and add sage and pork breading mix; mix well. Stuff mushroom caps with sausage mixture. Place on a sheet pan that has been sprayed with nonstick pan spray. Cook for 5-7 minutes. Serve immediately.
