Rolled Buttermilk Biscuits

Handle the dough as little as possible. It’s important to use a fork to combine the House-Autry Buttermilk Biscuit Mix with the milk or water. The more you work the dough, the more gluten will develop and the tougher your biscuits will turn out.

For easy and delicious cheese biscuits: Slice leftover biscuits in half. Place a tablespoon or two of grated sharp cheddar cheese on the bottom half of each biscuit. Put top half back on and wrap in aluminum foil. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 10 minutes or until cheese is completely melted. YUM!
