Roasted Jalapeño Poppers

Stuffed with a cheese blend and coated in our oven-baked pork seasoned coating mix, these jalapeños make the perfect spicy appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup House-Autry Oven-Baked Pork Seasoned Coating Mix
  • 12 jalapeño peppers
  • 8 ounces low fat cream cheese - softened
  • 1/2 cup Monterey jack cheese
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 2 tbsp green onions - chopped

Directions

Preheat oven to 425°F. Cut jalapeño peppers in half lengthwise; remove seeds and white membrane (that's where most of the heat is). In a medium bowl, combine the cheeses, cumin, green onion and half of the House-Autry Oven-Baked Pork Seasoned Coating Mix; mix well. Stuff pepper halves with jalapeño mixture. Pour remaining coating mix on a plate; roll peppers through mixture, coating cheese stuffing completely. Place on a foil-lined or lightly greased baking sheet; spray peppers with nonstick cooking spray and roast for 15-20 minutes.
