Onion Rings

Your onion should fry up crispy and golden brown, and should be cooked throughout. If it's soggy or undercooked, increase the temperature of the oil or adjust the cooking time. Cooking time will depend on the size of the onion and the recovery time of the oil.

Onion Ring Coating Mix
Ingredients
1 large onion, peeled
1/2 cup water
Directions: 

Peel onion and cut into 1/4-inch slices and separate into rings. Prepare a batter by mixing 3/4 cup of House-Autry Onion Ring Coating Mix with 1/2 cup water. Blend until smooth with a wire whisk. Pour remaining House-Autry Onion Ring Coating Mix in separate bowl. Dip onion rings in batter and then coat with dry mix. Fry in 375°F oil until golden brown. Drain on paper towel.
