Hushpuppy Cornbread

House-Autry Hushpuppy Mix with Onion and just a few additional ingredients make a great cornbread with no need for corn meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups House-Autry Hushpuppy Mix with Onion
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup melted butter or oil
  • 2 cups milk

Directions

Preheat oven to 400°F. Spray a 9x13-inch baking pan with cooking spray. Combine hushpuppy mix, sugar and salt in a large bowl; make a well in center of mixture. Add the beaten eggs, butter/oil and milk; stir until just combined. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
