Honey Sunflower Cornbread

A little sweet and a little crunchy, this cornbread recipe offers up natural flavor with Southern flair.

Ingredients

  • 2 packages House-Autry Buttermilk Cornbread Mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar

Directions

Preheat oven to 375°F. In a medium bowl, toss sunflower seeds with 2 packages House-Autry Buttermilk Cornbread Mix. Add remaining ingredients and stir just until combined and moistened. Pour into a greased 8x8-inch square baking pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Serve with butter and honey.
