Beer Battered Bratwrust

Serve with Molasses Mustard. Combine 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/2 cup Dijon mustard and 2 tablespoons molasses; mix well and serve.

Onion Ring Coating Mix
Ingredients
1 pound bratwurst links
1 cup flat beer, any type
Vegetable oil for frying
Directions: 

Pour 3/4 cup House-Autry Onion Ring Coating into a medium-bowl. Add the beer and whisk until thoroughly combined and lump-free. Allow mixture to sit for 5 minutes. Dip bratwurst into the batter, shake off excess and coat with remaining 1/4 cup of dry mix. Fry in batches in hot (350°F) oil until golden brown, about 2 or 3 minutes, turning to ensure even cooking on all sides. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Meal Suggestions: 

Brats make great appetizers, too. Simply cut each link into 4 portions before battering. Cook as directed above and place an appetizer skewer or toothpick into the end for serving.
